The monthly english mass in Princenhage began All Soul’s Day of 2002. Three Filipino and Dutch couples coming from Breda, Alphen and Susteren initiated the mass because of the desire to be in regular contact with other filipino and dutch families. They have called the group BITAW an acronym for (Bringing Inspiration Through Actions and Words ).Fr. Piet Rosenhart, MSC, who has 40 years missionary experience in the Philippines was requested to celebrate the monthly mass. What started as a pilot project has grown in two years with Cameroon, Dutch and Filipino families supporting it.
Unfortunately Fr Piet Rozenhart felt ill . After a period of searching for a good replacement of Father Piet we where very happy to find a very good new Priest in Father Savio. Father Savio was for 26 years missionary in Indonesian.
The mass has a multicultural dimension. It’s personalized approach makes everyone feel at home.
The mass guide is specially written by a Filipino missionary based in Rotterdam, Fr. Dan Ceballos, MSC and songs are taken from popular Filipino and Cameroon mass songs. The Our Father is specially rendered in Filipino with arms stretched reaching out to others.
After mass is a relaxed and informal gathering for coffee or tea and it also time to chat with other church goers. Added to the warm interactions, Filipino or Cameroon delicacies are served for free.
– Attend our monthly masses and enjoy our multicultural celebration; – Join our choir and learn new songs with us; and
– Bring your family and friends and together let us have fun!
After mass we have a nice after mass gathering with us with some coffee ad snacks.
